Multiplayer Games from Magmic ready for 2 Million BlackBerry Thumbs!
Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES), Chicago, IL - Magmic Games today is officially launching its multiplayer games platform called ‘The Commons’ for BlackBerry® handhelds from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ:RIMM, TSX:RIM). Players can challenge other players online in cool games such as Texas Hold’em Poker, BlackJack, Chess, and many other awesome sports, action and strategy games.
The company has already signed up several leading carriers who recognize that BlackBerry users want games, and is responding to this need.
"Basically, if you own a BlackBerry handheld, you’ve got a powerful multiplayer network gaming platform in your hands. That’s pretty cool, especially if you’re sitting around at an airport, want to compete with a friend, or have some spare time to entertain yourself and get your mind off work," says John Criswick, a guy who likes to play games, and President of Magmic.

In addition to its 20 current titles, Magmic will also be releasing many more color and black and white games for BlackBerry over the next few months, including some widely popular sports brands.
