Flowfinity Wireless announces Portal product line for BlackBerry

Flowfinity to launch multi-application solution at Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2005

Vancouver, BC, Canada - Flowfinity Wireless, a leading provider of wireless application products and platforms, today announced an innovative new approach to organize, integrate and access multiple applications within an easy-to-use environment. Flowfinity Portal is a multi-window environment that enables users to easily navigate between multiple live applications – with fewer clicks and without having to exit from applications. The Flowfinity Portal will be showcased next week at the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2005 in Orlando (visit booth #138), a conference hosted by Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM); (TSX: RIM), the makers of BlackBerry®. Using the Flowfinity Portal, BlackBerry users will be able to effortlessly access multiple applications concurrently.

"Flowfinity is continuing to innovate based on customer demand," said Dmitry Mikhailov, CEO of Flowfinity Wireless. "We see growing demand for increased productivity for mobile professionals. For example, sales professionals often need to concurrently access customer information from a CRM application, view files on product information, and access other enterprise software tools. With our ‘Portal in your Hand’ approach, multiple-windows are available with a few simple clicks making it easy for the user to utilize multiple applications at the same time.”

The Portal product line includes:
  - Flowfinity Personal Portal – provides business professionals with a suite of free productivity tools.
  - Flowfinity Enterprise Portal – provides organizations with a centrally managed environment that combines custom applications, Intranet access, and packaged applications from vendors such as ATSG, TenDigits, and Tectura.
  - Flowfinity Carrier Portal – provides carriers with personalized information delivery and communications applications for their subscribers.
  - Flowfinity Portal Connect for Visual Studio 2005 – provides developers with a means of using Visual Studio code as Flowfinity Portal applications.

"Flowfinity is leveraging Microsoft .NET and the capabilities of the BlackBerry platform to provide a unique blend of integrated innovation," said Olga Sboychakova, CTO of Flowfinity Wireless. "We have strived to make things work the way users and developers expect. The handheld applications have been engineered with a familiar desktop-like navigation experience, and the development platform leverages the tool most developers are familiar with, Visual Studio."

As an example of this ongoing integrated innovation strategy, the Flowfinity Portal will feature support for the upcoming Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (codename Whidbey) so that applications developed using Visual Studio 2005 will work as Flowfinity Portal applications.

A “Preview Edition” of the Flowfinity Personal Portal is available next week at booth #138 and the other Portal product line products will be released later in the year.
