Enterprise-class Mobility Solution Wireless WorkSpace 2.0 serves the needs of both large enterprises and small-to medium sized businesses (SMB's) and is available in two editions: the Developer Edition for rapidly designing and developing wireless enterprise applications; and the Enterprise Edition, a complete product suite for deploying and managing those applications.
Sendia's Wireless WorkSpace is made up of four main software components that work together to deliver a complete wireless mobility solution for enterprise-class applications.
- WorkSpace Server: Multi-layer server that ensures reliable and secure exchange of data between the server and the wireless handheld device.
- WorkSpace SmartClient: Client-side application that resides locally on the handheld device and provides the rich operating environment for the mobile application. It is deployed over-the-air directly to the device.
- WorkSpace Console: Web-based management console which provides a broad set of over-the-air administrative capabilities for the deployment, monitoring and remote control of WorkSpace applications.
- WorkSpace Studio (Developer Edition only): Development environment that enables the swift creation of robust and secure mobile wireless applications in a develop-once-and-deploy-to-any-device framework.
Wireless WorkSpace 2.0 Developer Edition
Wireless WorkSpace 2.0 Developer Edition includes the WorkSpace Studio, a development environment in which application developers armed with basic web development skills can quickly and easily develop and test rich mobile applications using an easy drag-and-drop user interface. Fully functional mobile applications can be completed in as little as three weeks, resulting in faster time to market and greatly reduced development costs.
Developer Edition handles network and back-office integration complexities so developers can focus on designing application business logic without worrying about mobile platform specific differences, intermittent wireless connectivity, or security issues. Application developers can determine which functionality will be available on the device, which data sets are to be mobilized, and the layout of the mobile device screens. Developer Edition integrates with standard device simulators and includes an SQL inspector for the tracking and testing of bugs. All Studio-developed applications are deployed via the Sendia WorkSpace Console and run on the WorkSpace SmartClient environment.
Wireless WorkSpace 2.0 Enterprise Edition
Wireless WorkSpace Enterprise Edition provides the platform upon which the mobilized applications run and are managed. All WorkSpace-developed applications feature the following key attributes:
- Highly Productive On/Offline User Experience. WorkSpace-powered applications function on or offline and provide an immediate, consistent and responsive user experience in which users never have to wait or search for a wireless connection while a user's most relevant data is stored on the device.
- Completely Secure. Wireless WorkSpace employs end-to-end 256-bit AES encryption to ensure sensitive enterprise information remains secure.
- 100 Percent Reliable. Sendia's transport services guarantee that data exchanged between the device and the server is never lost, duplicated or delivered out of sequence.
- Manageable. The WorkSpace Console offers full, over-the-air mobile application lifecycle management. At-a-glance monitoring keeps IT in control.
