Dexterra Announces New Series of Mobile Composite Applications for BlackBerry
Mobile Applications are Quick to Adopt, yet Easy to Adapt to Customer Requirements
Bothell, WA - Dexterra, Inc., a leading mobile business software innovator, today announced a new series of TransApps™ for the BlackBerry® platform from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM). The new series of TransApps includes Approvals for Oracle Financials, Helpdesk for Remedy and Mobile Sales for both Siebel and Salesforce.com, and are part of a rapidly growing family of TransApps that leverage the BlackBerry platform. TransApps are designed to mobilize the business processes that are most important to frontline workers, delivering benefits that include high user adoption, improved productivity and enhanced customer satisfaction. Cingular Wireless and salesforce.com have certified the Dexterra Mobile Sales TransApp, with more approvals in progress.
TransApps are feature-rich mobile composite applications that can be bundled and integrated with common corporate applications, and incorporate intelligent adapters for SAP, Siebel, Oracle, salesforce.com, Remedy, Maximo MRO, J D Edwards, Amdocs Clarify and many other environments. Unlike conventional mobile extensions for corporate applications, TransApps have been designed “outside-in” around the needs of the mobile worker, making them immediately useful yet flexible enough to cope with change and adaptable to meet rapidly evolving requirements.
Taking full advantage of the power and flexibility of the Dexterra Concert™ platform, TransApps incorporate best-in-class mobile business processes that can be assembled and customized to create combinations of capability that meet an organizations’ unique needs without the risk and cost associated with custom builds, or the restrictions associated with taking on rigidly defined packaged solutions.
“These TransApps represent the new wave of enterprise mobility, unlocking the power of corporate applications and data and leveraging the power of the BlackBerry end-to-end solution,” said Bob Apollo, Dexterra Vice President of Marketing. “Our global ecosystem of over 40 leading ISVs, systems integrators and carriers is enabling us to add new TransApps at an accelerating rate.”
“Dexterra’s TransApp bundles meet Cingular standards for enterprise quality from a mobile user experience standpoint, with robust support for a variety of back office systems,” said Michael Woodward, Executive Director, Mobile Professional Solutions, at Cingular Wireless. “We are pleased to see Dexterra’s support for a rapidly growing portfolio of BlackBerry business solutions that leverage the power of Cingular’s nationwide* wireless data network and the Dexterra Concert platform.”
“Organizations are realizing significant ROI in mobilizing their business processes,” said Mark Guibert, Vice President, Corporate Marketing at Research In Motion. “Together, the BlackBerry platform and TransApps offer customers the ability to develop innovative and flexible mobile solutions to meet a variety of business needs.”
Dexterra will be demonstrating the full range of TransApps for BlackBerry at Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2006 in Orlando, FL, May 16th to 18th at booth number 119.
