PaperIQ and e-office team up to market Digital Pen for BlackBerry in Benelux

Digital pen application for BlackBerry smartphones to provide groupware solutions to work easier

Orlando, FL - Wireless Enterprise Symposium - e-office, specialist in optimizing work environments for professionals, has become the exclusive partner for PaperIQ in Benelux. e-office will market, implement and support PaperIQ’s Digital Pen application for BlackBerry® smartphones in the region. This new product from PaperIQ integrates Digital Pen and Paper with the architecture of the BlackBerry wireless solution from Research In Motion (RIM).

BlackBerry smartphone owners may now write notes and complete enterprise forms with their handwriting. This will be recognized automatically by the PaperIQ Digital Pen application for the BlackBerry smartphone. The Professional edition is aimed at the individual who would like to take meeting notes, create contacts and tasks and send e-mails and faxes using pen and paper. The Enterprise edition allows corporations to deploy enterprise-wide note-taking or forms-based applications to their BlackBerry users, providing them even greater flexibility and productivity when mobile.

“We are pleased to work together with e-office. As a member of the BlackBerry® ISV Alliance program, IBM Premier Business Partner and Microsoft Gold Partner, e-office has the specific knowledge and skills to integrate our digital pen and paper application into different types of groupware solutions,” says Robert Bakewell, Commercial Director PaperIQ.

Thierry Lammers, director e-office mobile: “Our solutions provide our customers with accurate, up to date and mission critical information. This information is available through fixed and mobile work environments, independent of place and time. The PaperIQ solutions enables us to develop and deploy our information systems in such a way that they support the most natural way of working; handwritten.”

People have always been comfortable with paper and most businesses and organisations still use paper extensively to capture critical business information within the office or out in the field. However, getting information on paper into the organisation's enterprise system is usually a slow and expensive process. Using digital pen and paper technology in combination with the BlackBerry solution will connect paper to the Internet. Organisations will have a low cost solution to make data captured on paper, immediately available to the business.
