Voice on the Go Launches Email by Voice For BlackBerry Users
Available Today to Consumers & Enterprises Worldwide
Orlando, FL - Wireless Enterprise Symposium - Voice on the Go Inc., the leading provider of mobile voice solutions, today announced the global launch of its new innovative Voice on the Go™ service for BlackBerry® smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX:RIM). BlackBerry users can now use their voice to gain hands-free and eyes-free access to their email, calendars, contacts and other content, from any BlackBerry smartphone at any time. This cost-effective service enables subscribers to boost their productivity and also allows people with visual impairments or physical challenges to access their email.
Voice on the Go allows BlackBerry users to conveniently listen to their email, as well as use their voice to reply, forward, compose and delete emails and access timely information, such as traffic, stock quotes and news. Subscribers can also listen to and add appointments, search contacts by name or company and place calls by voice.
“By using our voice-driven service, BlackBerry users can easily send and access email and pertinent information anywhere, anytime and also comply with growing legislation that prohibits people from holding a handset while driving,” said Simon Arnison, President & CEO, Voice on the Go. “’Hands-free’ laws are pervasive worldwide. Over 50 countries have hands-free legislation in place, including Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, India, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand as well as a growing number of states and cities in the United States including New York, New Jersey, California and Washington DC”.
Voice on the Go works with any BlackBerry smartphone and is available in a number of languages including English, French and Spanish. The service can be quickly setup, with no software to download and requires no voice training. Voice on the Go is available via local access numbers across the United States and Canada and in selected European cities. The Enterprise version provides secure voice access to corporate email for companies, government and other organizations. Voice on the Go is also available to telecommunications carriers and resellers worldwide.
